Iago Blog

A Sneaking, Lying Son of a Rat

Iago is the fake friend you have at school that convinces you to tell them all your secrets just so they can tell the rest of your school those confessions.

Iago is the one that takes credit for all of the good things he does, but when he wants to do something bad, he makes someone else get their hands dirty.  After that he runs away and pretends he had no idea what was going on.

Iago is the one person that takes what he is given, but keeps asking for more.  He is the one who abuses the power he has, but will kill for more.  Iago is the man that will destroy everything he touches, on purpose, just to get what he wants.  And in the end, he will just laugh and revel in the glory he obtained.

Iago pretends to be best friends with Roderigo, just for his money and to abuse the hold he has on him by making him do his dirty work.  Iago pretends to be Othello's loyal follower just because he wants a higher position in the army.  Iago is full of anger and hate that he tends to misplace and use as a fuel for his raging fire.

Iago was given the role of flag bearer by Othello, in the army, when he wanted to be lieutenant.  The flag bearer is the first to be killed in a battle, and is one of the bottom people in the army pyramid.  This is the main reason why Iago is so hateful.

Iago is a lying weasel that will do anything to get what he wants.  His extreme measures consist of lying, cheating, and killing.  He is a role model.  The role model that you're parents use as an example of what not to become.
